Located in the New York EDITION, Michelin-starred The Clocktower serves modern cuisine with a palpable U.K. sensibility. From morning to night, Chef Jason Atherton offers tastes of contemporary London just steps from the leafy, lively sanctuary of Madison Square Park. A 90-seat gastronomic gem, the restaurant comprises three intimate dining rooms, a dedicated billiards room and a lively bar made up entirely of 24k gold leaf, each individual space exuding its own personality. Under the direction of Atherton, the menu celebrates and elevates classic British fare, built around simple, satisfying plates with subtle refinements; the inspired wine program features a one-of-a-kind Champagne cart and a 250-bottle list that highlights both Old and New World producers.
Chef Jason Atherton
Jason Atherton started out working alongside great chefs, including Pierre Koffmann, Marco Pierre White, Nico Ladenis and Ferran Adria at el Bulli, before joining the Gordon Ramsay Group in 2001. After launching Maze in London and overseeing the opening of five more Maze restaurants globally, Atherton left Gordon Ramsay Holdings to launch his own restaurant group, The Social Company, which has gone on to open award-winning concepts in London, Hong Kong, Dubai and The Philippines. In May 2015, Atherton partnered with Stephen Starr to open his first stateside restaurant, The Clocktower, an all-day dining space set within the New York EDITION Hotel on Madison Avenue.
